About Us

We serve the Upper Peninsula, Upper Michigan, Northern Michigan and Northern Wisconsin -- collectively known as the Upper Great Lakes Region. Among our employees are professional engineers, architects, landscape architects, surveyors, town planners, and environmental engineers. We have been in business for more than 50 years.

More than 70 people are employed at our five offices, which are located in Houghton, Iron Mountain, Marquette, Sault Ste. Marie, and Marinette, Wis. We are the largest professional-services firm that is headquartered in the region

.

UPEA is an employee-owned company, a factor that positively influences the quality of work. All employees have a stake in the success of the company; staff members consistently report high job satisfaction; employee turnover is low. Clients benefit from the continuity through higher efficiencies and lower costs.

U.P. Engineers & Architects is a leading firm in Upper Michigan and the Upper Great Lakes because we have the knowledge and experience to design cost-effective solutions for construction in the northern climate.

When not serving clients, UPEA employees delve into a variety of activities and hobbies. Pictured below are some of those activities.
